Using our webpage EXPLORE USING THE INTERNET --- to learn about taking care of books, rules of the library, how to check yourself in and out of the library, and how to find materials in the library and on the internet.

Harcourt Brace Lessons
1. go to 2nd Grade and click on the 4th lesson (editing sentences)
2. go to 3rd Grade and click on the 3rd lesson (editing a paragraph) This one includes learning to use the spell checker
3. go to 4th Grade and click on the 2nd lesson -- this reviews everything students should be able to do by 4th grade in word.

Celebration Of Nations - November
Each class chose a nation --- Specialty teachers planned activities around four continents (Europe, Africa, Asia, South America) Lessons in the library incorporated information literacy, map skills, and stories from those countries. Parents who either came from other countries or had parents recently emigrated from those countries were drawn to be involved in meaningful ways both in the classroom and at the concluding Celebration Day. Children arrived with their bags (stamped with travel stamps and carried their passports to each country where the passports were stamped, and received a memento from each country visited.
Each grade level visited their neighbors and were entertained by the presentations about the class country and then went to the gym where representatives from countries from around the world shared information about their home countries.
